How can renewable technology save me energy?
Renewable technologies use the earth’s sustainable resources to produce power. Natural energy such as wind, water and sunlight produces much less environmentally damaging greenhouse gases than non renewable fossil fuels. Once a renewable system is installed, customers can benefit from an abundant source of free energy for years to come, helping reduce climate change and save money on fuel bills.
What systems do you provide?
Yorkshire Energy Services work with selected microgeneration specialists including our own Solar Installations team YES Renewables. We can install 5 varieties of renewable energy systems:

1) Solar Photovoltaic Systems Solar photovoltaic panels covert sunlight into electricity which is then used in your home. Solar PV technology has become so advanced that even in a British climate, thousands of householders are benefiting from generating their own electricity. Visit solar PV FAQs for more information. |

2) Solar Thermal Systems Similar to a PV system, Solar Thermal (solar hot water) also uses sunlight to operate. An efficient system can produce around a third of your annual hot water needs. Most systems can be integrated into an existing hot water system, considerably reducing the amount of non-renewable fuel that is used. |

3) Ground Source Heat Pumps A Ground Source Heat Pump collects heat from underground and converts it into energy which can be used to power a variety of home heating systems. Ideally suited for people with large gardens and no direct access to the mains gas network. |

4) Air Source Heat Pumps Air Source Heat Pumps act almost like a refrigerator in reverse. An external unit converts air from outside the house into heat. The heat is then pumped into a house providing an efficient alternative to more traditional heating systems. |

5) Biomass Boilers Biomass boilers run off small wood pellets or chips that are either manually fed in or dispatched through an electronic device called a hopper. Usually situated in the cellar of a property, Biomass boilers are typically installed to replace inefficient oil or coal burning systems. |
How long will the job take?
The time it takes to install a renewable energy system can vary depending on property type, access and chosen technology. Typically, after a survey has been carried out most installations are completed within 2 days. Our qualified installers will advice you on a realistic time scale before any work is carried out.
