Wakefield Low Carbon Communities

Yorkshire Energy Services are currently delivering the Wakefield Low Carbon Communities program in key wards in the Wakefield district. Backed by Wakefield Council, the project is designed to address the issues of fuel poverty and help Wakefield householders improve the thermal values of their homes.

Working on an area basis, homeowners and private tenants can get free cavity wall insulation and loft insulation installed in their homes regardless of their household income or property size. The project aims to help Wakefield residents improve their homes energy efficiency, reduce their fuel bills and help them do their bit for the environment.

Wakefield Low Carbon Communities also offers other useful services from the Council’s partners. These include benefits checks, home fire safety visits and energy advice.
