Feeling the cold? Well you’re not alone...there are thousands of Sheffield householders struggling to pay fuel bills despite a planned reduction in energy costs from British utility companies.

Regardless of announcements by Eon, British Gas and Npower, who aim to slash their prices, many householders are still struggling to pay for Gas and Electricity. And although the reduction is welcomed, many critics feel that this just isn’t enough to eradicate fuel poverty in the UK.

As part of each energy company’s Government obligation, a pot of funding is provided to improve domestic energy efficiency levels in the UK. By having cavity wall insulation and loft insulation installed, Sheffield householders will not only retain heat in ther homes, but could save up to £300 a year on energy bills.

Yorkshire Energy Services aim to help the residents of Sheffield access affordable energy saving solutions.  If your over 70 years of age or receive certain qualifying benefits you can get cavity wall insulation and loft insulation installed in your home for free.

Alternatively, subject to a technical survey, Sheffield homeowners can get cavity wall insulation installed for only £49 and loft insulation installed for £99.
