Energy Help Loan

Peter O’ Brien, a full time web designer from Huddersfield, took out an Energy Help Loan with Yorkshire Energy Services to help spread the cost of his solar PV investment.

‘I do an increasing amount of work at home on my laptop’ explained Peter, ‘so I was getting increasingly concerned about the rising cost of energy, as well as my own carbon footprint.’

In addition they provided the lowest cost of installation I could find. This was the deciding factor for me the get the work carried out.’

The Energy Help Loan gives customers with an annual household income of less than £42,000, the opportunity to pay for their solar installations in affordable monthly instalments. Qualifying residents can take out the loan and cover their costs over a 48 month period.

‘The Energy Help Loan made my installation possible. I received quotes from two other companies whose prices were almost double that of YES Renewables, and only one of them arranged a loan through a building society which was too costly.  I recently had my roof replaced, which put a big dent into my savings, and I did not have enough left to justify paying for the installation. Without the loan I would have had to postpone the solar PV installation indefinitely.’
